Quartier latin and the village

The latin quarter (aka Quartier latin), the red light, the Carré St-Louis and the gay village to the east are four distinct neighbourhoods but they have one important thing in common: they are known for their nightlife and restaurants. The latin quarter itself is in the middle of all these neighbourhood. The red light district is a small section that once made the reputation of Montreal, but now it's tame compared to what is was.
