Ste-Helene and Notre-Dame Islands
These two islands form a park called the Parc Jean-Drapeau (formerly known as the Parc des Iles or island park). One of these islands is man made, the other was formed out of three natural islands in the St-Laurent river, just in front of old Montreal. They are now used for many activities, including an amusement park, a casino, museums, outdoor shows, walking and hiking trails, bicycling, roller blading, a Grand Prix, a garden, one pool and an artificial beach amongst other things. Below, you will find the different sections of the guide for the islands. You can visit the official and newly renamed (as of Spring 2000) Parc Jean-Drapeau web site (www.parcjeandrapeau.com) for even more information.
