Downtown

Downtown is a very general name that is sometime interpreted differently on the person you ask. In this guide, downtown is the business and commercial district that is the core of Montreal. It's where a lot of people work, shop and go out at night. It includes west and east downtown (up to Complexe Desjardins and the Place des Arts), the fur district, the museum district, Ste-Catherine street between Atwater to the west and St-Urbain to the east and the Mont-Royal park.
