Is this guide free?
Yes it is, it's on the 'net isn't it. That doesn't mean you can do everything you want with it though. You can't copy or sell copies of the guide or part of the guide and include it on your web site or in any publication or distribute copies of it. You can however add a link to the guide, it's even encouraged, just add this tag on your page :
moreMontreal eGuide
You can't copy or print or sell any of the pictures, graphics or maps either. You can print part of some pages, but for personal use only. This is just to prevent some people from copying parts of the guide and presenting it as their own work or so that people can't print the guide and give/sell it to their clients. You can certainly appreciate the amount of work that was put in this guide. If you still feel like you have to pay someone in some way for all this information, you can send a monetary contribution to the guide or just mention the guide and its address to anyone who asks you where you got the information (especially if it's the owner of a local hotel/restaurant/bar). To send a contribution, just make out a check or money order (in Canadian funds preferably, less hassle at the bank and no banks fees) out to "toutMontreal.com enr." and send it to :

You can send what you think is fair (it's like shareware but for information), just consider how much you would have spent for a printed guide and that will give you a good idea ($10, $15?). The money will be use to pay my Internet Service Provider (always a good idea), to pay for spendings associated with the guide and, if enough people send money, hire someone part time to help me keep this huge amount of information up to date. Thanks in advance and, of course, if you make a contribution, you can print all the guide if you want (you can do that now, but won't you feel guilty, heh) as long as you don't sell printer copy it's all right. Thank you for your understanding.
