Movies and video

If you love movies, you are in the right place. Montreal has a very large selection of films to choose from all year round. You can see movies from Hollywood, like anywhere else in the planet, but unlike the rest of the world, you can see those movies in either french or english. You can also see independant american films, canadian films, local Quebec productions, a large selection of french films both small and big productions, various european films and from everywhere else. And if you don't have enough choices, there are about 15 film festivals (from tibetan films to african cinema and animated short films, etc), repertory houses, film societies, the Cinémathèque Québécoise, the National Film Board, etc. By the way, afternoons (before 17:00) and all day tuesdays are half off (it's about $5.00 instead of the regular $9.00) at most movie theatres.
